What First Aid Provision should I have for my business?

How long does a first aid course take?
Emergency First Aid training courses are at least Seven hours and are run over a minimum of one day but can be split over a couple of days.
First Aid at Work training courses involve at least 18 hours of training and are run over a minimum of three days. The 18 hours does not include breaks and the final assessment.
Paediatric First Aid courses are 12 hours and are essential for EYFS settings.

Can anyone be a first Aider?
There are qualities that make a really good first aider:
Someone who can stay calm in a crisis
Someone who is caring and kind
Someone that has no (known) problem of seeing/dealing with blood and body fluids
Someone who is there when needed
Someone who is trained and up to date
Think about the hours and locations you have employees and consider whether they can access emergency first aid quickly and easily.

Paediatric First Aid – Who needs this qualification?
The Qualsafe Award’s (QA) Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is aimed at those working in child-care settings and for anyone with responsibility for caring for infants and children.
Ofsted Regulated Childcare Settings
At least one person who has a current paediatric first-aid certificate must be on the premises at all times and at least one person should accompany every outing. This Paediatric First Aid Training Course has been developed to meet your obligations for Ofsted-regulated settings.
The Qualsafe Awards Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is a two-unit award, comprising:

Unit 2: Managing Paediatric Illness and Injury (1Day)
