You will be coming to the Copper Café entrance as shown in the photo below. Doors open from 9;00.
On arrival check in with the front of house staff. They will fix you a complimentary drink which is included in your course fee. Wait in the café and we will come down to get you registered and take you up to the training room.

Please allow plenty of time for parking. The parking bays around the market square are for a maximum of 2 hours only. The traffic wardens are strict! Parking is free on Station Street which is the street running along side Copper. There is a long stay carpark behind Eton Place. There is a map showing the parking spaces at the bottom of the page.

Course starts at 9:15, it is a busy day so we need to start on time.
Please make all necessary arrangements to be able to attend the course during the times shown.  The course cannot be shortened. If you think you can’t make the day or you may be running late please let us know a soon as possible by ringing:

What to Bring?
Please bring pencils, pens, note paper for you make your own notes if that is what you like to do.
A comprehensive course book is supplied.
Face shield or mask. If a learner would like us all to wear facemasks then we all will. Please let us know in advance if you have any specific concerns about Covid and our controls.
Reading glasses for any reading work if you wear them.
Packed lunch.

Lunch is not provided
Food can be ordered at Copper which will be prepared ready for lunchtime. Link to menu
You can bring your own lunch or buy snacks from shops in Bingham.

What to wear?
We will be kneeling at the sides of ‘casualties’, lying on the floor, performing chest compressions and you will be bandaging your own leg. Wear clothing that makes you feel relaxed, comfortable, is not too precious and helps you maintain sufficient modesty.

What is expected?

All candidates must be:

-Physically capable of kneeling/bending down beside a casualty
-Have enough strength to perform chest compressions (Painful joints, RSI or arthritis in the wrists and hands can make performing chest compressions very painful/awkward)
-Be able to perform rescue breaths. (People with breathing difficulties or very heavy smokers can find rescue breaths hard.)
-Should feel comfortable seeing and dealing with blood and injuries.
-Able to perform CPR and put casualty in recovery position who is laying on the floor.
-Successfully complete a 15 question multiple-choice exam

Note: To be awarded the Level 3 qualification Learners must be competent in performing the above tasks. Please get in touch if you have any concerns, we will work hard to resolve any problems.
